This gentle Christmas piece begins by inviting us into the typical Christmas scene – snow, a fire in the hearth, holly and a Christmas tree. But these traditional decorations of Christmas invite us also to go back to the true meaning, the birth of Jesus – to unwrap that Christmas Story.
As is increasingly the case for small church choirs, the traditional TB section is now one voice part – baritone. In this setting, the three-part voicing feels just right.
